Epic Battles
Jesus was the son of God and He was tempted how much more us. Satan does not mind fighting us when we are weak. How easy it is for us to doubt? If Satan can say to Jesus if he is the son of God what will he say to us. Being a disciple does not make us immune to temptation.
Often we may have doubts whether we have what it takes to answer God’s calling. Moses was in similar situation.
We continue with his series of sermons on epic biblical battles. This time, we talked about the story of Joseph
David was used by God to be the principal character in one of the most famous epic battles in the scriptures-David versus Goliath. Yet it was the battle to create a culture of honesty that wreaked havoc on the Kingdom of Israel.
Esther, is a book in the Bible where, as one minister put it “God is Omnipotently present even when he is conspicuously absent.”
Elijah faced the fury of the King of the Israelites (King Ahab), the defiance of the 880 false prophets and the rebellion of God’s people. In spite of these insurmountable odds he believed in the words of the Almighty God.
Got keeps His promises. Always. We have the hope of Heaven because God fulfilled his promises.
Daniel’s faithfulness to God, fervent prayer life and flawless character at his workplace served as a great opportunity for God to display his power through his servant Daniel.
The account of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego epic battle with King Nebuchadnezzar is truly inspiring. We see people who would not trade their faith in God even if that faith or their bodies were set on fire. As it turns out the fire meant for destruction served to actually set them free and unbound their shackles. When people intend to hurt God’s people He often uses it to greater good.
