Just as the intricate design of the Tabernacle followed a pattern so the people could experience God in worship, Jesus’ incarnation was intricately designed so we could experience the presence of God in our lives and the church. This Sunday, we’ll examine the state of our tabernacles and the difference God’s presence should make.
The story of Joseph teaches us that God is with us in our struggles. Not only that, but God is able to produce something from that struggle. Joseph had God’s perspective on struggles in his life and remained faithful to God’s promises.
It is very easy to lose perspective when we’re not practicing spiritual hygiene, and we think that everything around us is the problem. Jesus cultivated habits like prayer, scripture, fellowship, and thankfulness. By imitating these habits, we sow habits and reap the rewards of spiritual hygiene
If your happiness is based on earthly things, you will be stuck in the “Prison of Want”. Psalm 23 shows us how we can be free from this prison by following the lead of our Shepherd who loves his sheep and gives his life to protect them and ensure their happiness. We are reminded that there is a part of us that only God can fill and, like sheep following their shepherd, we need to follow God’s lead because we can’t get to where God wants us if we are only focusing on ourselves.
As we reflect on God’s perfect knowledge, perfect love, perfect will, and perfect faithfulness, let us remember that he is truly our most perfect father. Happy Father’s Day, God.
Ephesians 1: 1-20 Ephesians 6:20 We need to fully grasp who we are as disciples and what we have in Christ. Paul could have fallen into self pity because of his chains. He allowed nothing to affect him but focused on his spiritual blessings in Christ. It is easy for us to get side track…
Look at your life and see what you’re grateful for. In your conversations with friends do you talk more about problems or things you are grateful for?
Do you put conditions on your happiness? I’d be happy if…The grass is greener where you water it. Where do to your best to improve.
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
Jesus wants us to understand that our love and obedience to Him should have nothing to do with other people.
Unless we see our need for forgiveness, we will never be able to love in the way we should
